What is Mouth Cancer?
Nearly 34000 people in United States are getting affected by mouth cancer each year.
Mouth cancer happens when there is growth of the cancerous tissue inside the mouth. It might affect any tissue in the mouth. The mouth cancer affects different areas of the oral cavity.

Types of Mouth Cancer
The mouth cancer is also known as oral cancer. It might be related with the cancer found on lips, tongue and different areas inside the mouth.

Mouth Cancer Symptoms
Statistics show that nearly 80 percent of the people diagnosed with mouth have an unhealed mouth ulcer. It is considered as the most significant symptom of the mouth cancer.

The mouth cancer symptoms are:

  • Lip sore and sores inside the mouth which might not heal
  • White and red colored patches in the mouth
  • White patches might form malignant
  • A combination of red and white color patches which are more likely to be malignant
  • An unhealed mouth ulcer
  • Bleeding from the mouth and gums
  • Loss of a tooth or more
  • Burning sensation in the mouth
  • Delicate teeth
  • Eating and swallowing problems
  • Discomfort in using artificial dentures
  • Swelling in the neck
  • A pain in the ears

Mouth Cancer in teens and women
Latest studies show an increasing rate of mouth cancer among teenagers and woman. Mouth cancer is becoming common among this population.
