Gaining weight is easy, but losing weight is difficult. We go on fast diets, sweat ourselves in the gym or visit weight losing centers spending heavy amounts. Finally, we end up losing few pounds over a period of time. Tough isn’t it ? Why not try out the easy way out? One can lose weight without exercising or spending a whole lot of money. Here are some tricks:
1. Avoid taking “white” carbohydrates, unless you are in for a rigorous exercise regimen. Bread, rice, potatoes, pasta, cereal as well as fried food must be avoided. These foods are high in carbohydrates
2. Do not drink calories- Avoid decaffeinated drinks, sodas, fruit juice or milk. Drink plenty of water and unsweetened tea, diet sodas, coffee without cream
3. Eat the same few meals several times- Mix and match the meal, but try to eat the same content. Some suggested meals are :
Proteins:
- Egg whites
- Grass-fed organic beef
- Pork
- Chicken thing or breast
Legumes:
- Black beans
- Pinto beans
- Lentils
Vegetables:
- Asparagus
- Spinach
- Mixed Vegetables
- Peas
One can eat as much as one wants. Keep the meals simple. It is better to go in for salads while visiting a restaurant rather than French fries. One can choose foods that provide sufficient calories and are not rich in fats
4. Take one day off every week to have whatever you want- This breaks the monotony of the diet. This ensures that your body functions such as the thyroid do not get affected. This one day regular intake helps the thyroid not getting deregulated due to calorie restriction
5. Avoid excessive alcohol- One tends to gain weight if one consumes excessive alcohol. Have your drink, but be moderate in your habits
